Responding to Challenging Behaviours
About this training
We deliver this workshop face to face at your workplace, across Tasmania.
It is intended for organisations that want to assess and improve their response to client behaviours influenced by alcohol and drug use and review internal procedures to ensure the safety of all individuals involved.
The session runs for approximately one hour, and we can accommodate up to 25 people per session.

Understanding the varied effects of different substances will help you to respond to challenging behaviours in supportive and appropriate ways.
How does it work?
Requesting a training session is easy:
- Fill out the form on the right to request your training.
- Within 2 business days, you'll receive an email with next steps and your request number.
- When your request is at the top of the queue, one of our Educators will be in contact to talk to you in detail about your needs.
- At the time of confirming dates for your workshop or education session you will be issued an invoice for the booking fee: once payment is received, your booking will be confirmed.
- Once training is finished, the organiser will receive a training report and each attendee will receive a certificate of attendance.
What to expect:
Participants will leave with increased knowledge of drugs and alcohol specific to:
- The underlying causes of challenging behaviours related to alcohol and other drug use
- Increased knowledge of de-escalation techniques and safety considerations within the scope of their service
- Increased understanding of factors in their service which may contribute to escalation of challenging behaviour
